okaicos was born on a fishing boat in 2014, which is fitting as my siblings and I grew up fishing. The idea wasn’t revolutionary, men's swim trunks have been around forever. But what I had never seen before was a patterned waist band on a swim trunk. So, why not create it? Using materials that fit the active lifestyle I enjoy as well as colors that represent a country my family and I have grown to love. 

This 2014 family trip to Turks & Caicos marked our fifth time there and our fifth time fishing on the boat mentioned above. We shared many great memories on these trips. For us, it represents a place to reconnect. It's our tradition. A time for us to forget about outside distractions, be present and enjoy each others company. As we cruised back to the dock that evening in 2014, I couldn't help but think that everything was more than just "ok". It was Turks "ok-aicos".

This feeling is what vacations, reunions and time spent with those closest to you is all about. Regardless of who you are and what your traditions may be, we think ‘feelin’ okaicos’ is a mindset. One that we all feel at some point. One I hope resonates with all of our customers as they wear the brand at the beach, on a fishing boat, at the lake or hanging out with family and friends. 

From that moment in 2014, it took over 3 years to build our first swim trunk line. As we've worked, our goal has been and will continue to be to delivery quality, comfortable, stylish men's swim trunks and have some fun along the way.
